The problem
Finding childcare is a trust problem before it is a search problem.
Parents need to know a carer is who they say they are before they care whether the hours fit. A marketplace that puts search first and verification in the small print has solved the easy half.
Coorie puts verification before visibility, then makes the rest of the job, finding, booking, paying, short enough to do on a phone between two other things.
Built
2.1
Verification first
Identity checks before a carer profile is visible to anyone. The badge on a listing means a check has happened, not that one was promised.
2.2
Search and booking
Distance, availability and role, then a request that the carer accepts or declines. No message threads to negotiate a time.
2.3
Payments
Taken at booking, released on completion. The parent and the carer both see the same record.
